Description
The SYSTEM ONE REMSTAR SE CPAP with heated tube and humidifier is the newest member of the System One family of sleep therapy systems. It is an inexpensive, entry-level CPAP with many of the same features of Philips Respironics popular System One “60 Series.”
The REMstar SE includes Flex Comfort Techologies, compliance tracking, a wide pressure range, and a user adjustable ramp.
Now with the Heated Humidifier and Heated Tubing, it all adds up to the gold standard in sleep therapy.
The Respironics System One REMstar SE CPAP with Heated Tubing and Humidifier is the ultimate in basic line of CPAP therapy across the board.
Features of the System One REMstar SE CPAP
Flex for added Comfort:
Flex technology helps make PAP therapy more natural by its ability to sense when the patient is exhaling and then reducing pressure to make the patient’s breathing more natural and comfortable.
Flex pressure relief can set set at three levels — 1, 2 or 3 — or turned off completely if preferred.
Heated Humidifier:
Many sleep therapy users find that the addition of heated humidity to their sleep therapy system improves comfort and helps with overall compliance.
The optional System One Heated Humidifier measures and adapts to changes in room temperature, therapy flow, and humidity levels to deliver a precise, user selected, level of humidity at the mask regardless of external changes.
The humidification system detects the temperature, consequently adjusting to a temperature that works with the environment. Basically, reducing or eliminating condensation.
Heated Tubing: The System One Heated Tubing provides protection from rainout and allows greater humidity levels than traditional non-heated tubing systems.
The System One’s Revolutionary Dry Box technology isolates the humidfier’s water source from the inner workings of the device to protect against accidental spillage and water damage.
The buildup some users experience in the CPAP mask is also removed for most therapy sessions. The Respironics Heated Tube technology is simply a bonus when considering the humidification system that is standard on all Philips Respironics units.
Compliance Data: The LED display screen of the REMstar SE displays the 7 and 30 Day Average number of hours used, an on-board memory which holds up to 6 months of data.
Or use an optional generic SD card to store compliance information for up to 1 year.
Your choice of using either the on-board or SD card to store data, the most recent data will be held in storage.
Ramp Feature: The ramp feature can be set to start the pressure flow at a lower level than the prescribed therapy pressure and over the user’s selected period of time the pressure gradually increases to the prescribed pressure.
The ramp time on the SE CPAP can be set from 0 to 45 minutes and can start as low as 4 cmwp. The ramp feature is not required for CPAP therapy and can be set turned off.
