ABT Medical Supply opened its doors in San Diego in 1999 with a simple idea: home medical equipment should arrive quickly, work properly, and be delivered by someone who genuinely cares.
Our story
Since 1999
We started as a small, family-owned operation serving a handful of San Diego neighborhoods. Twenty-five years later we're still family owned, still on Mercury Street, and still answering the phone ourselves.
What has grown is the trust placed in us: hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and hospice teams across the county send us their referrals because the handoff is reliable.
Most of the families we meet are in the middle of a hard season — a sudden diagnosis, a discharge that came faster than expected, a parent who needs more help than last month. Our job is to take one thing off their plate, completely.

Justine Shigley
CEO & Co-Owner
Justine Shigley is the CEO and co-owner of ABT Medical Supply, bringing nearly two decades of healthcare experience and a deep commitment to serving patients, families, and healthcare professionals throughout San Diego County.
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse and healthcare leader, Justine has spent much of her career caring for people during some of life's most vulnerable moments. Her experience in hospice, patient care, healthcare leadership, business development, and community outreach has shaped the way she leads ABT today, with compassion, integrity, excellence, and a genuine heart to serve.
