Position Summary
The Warehouse Technician supports the safe, clean, organized, and efficient operation of ABT Medical Supply's warehouse, equipment inventory, and delivery fleet. This role focuses on receiving and organizing durable medical equipment (DME), loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment according to infection-control procedures — including maintaining a clear separation between clean and dirty equipment. The technician also keeps the delivery fleet clean and completes weekly vehicle safety inspections, and assists DME Technicians with deliveries and pickups as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming DME and supplies
- Maintain accurate inventory placement and a tidy, hazard-free warehouse
- Stage equipment for upcoming deliveries
Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and disinfect returned equipment per infection-control procedures
- Maintain strict separation of clean and dirty equipment zones
- Report damaged or non-functioning equipment for repair or removal
Loading & Unloading
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Secure equipment properly for transport
- Verify order accuracy before dispatch
Fleet & Safety
- Keep delivery vehicles clean inside and out
- Complete weekly vehicle safety inspections and document findings
- Follow all safety, lifting, and PPE procedures
Delivery Support
- Assist DME Technicians with deliveries and pickups as needed
- Represent ABT professionally and courteously in patient homes and facilities
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Warehouse, logistics, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Organized, dependable, and professional
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when driving is assigned
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Lift and move medical equipment safely using proper techniques
